Colorful banners!

This week is all about banners! Many kids are baptised this time of the year in my country and banners are a great way to decorate the event! Craftaholic's banners are made of fabric so they can be used again and again, to decorate the baby shower, the nursery, a birthday party etc.

One of the most important parts of my work is custom orders. I love working with my customers and adjust everything to their needs. Someone wants different colors, another one wants a bigger/smaller size, or sometimes a different style. Last week I worked with many parents who wanted to order a fabric banner, we exchanged photos and shared ideas. The result was amazing and I am thrilled to share it with you!

Melina's banner is pink. fuschia, green and yellow. There are two flags on the side with little owls on them, because it will be an owl themed baptism.

I also made Dionysis's banner, for his sun themed baptism. I loved his mother's idea, the sun is such a great theme for summer! I made the banner green with yellow letters and of course there is a sun on the side flag.

And I keep sewing banners... You can find them all here. But if you can't see what you want, don't hesitate to contact me, we can design your banner from the start :)

Have you heard about the EtsyKids team?

The EtsyKids team is a group of talented and dedicated Etsy shop owners who make items for kids (babies, toddlers, children). The members come from all conrners of the world and right now it has 623 active members.
It all started in 2006 when Shannon of the Clever Kitty noticed that there are many shops on Etsy selling unique items for kids and thought it would be great to form a group for all those shop owners. She posted this idea on the Etsy forums and the EtsyKids team was born.

The team is currently lead by Stephanie of Handmade Cuddles who along with a dedicated staff works hard to make Team Membership beneficial for all.

The EtsyKids team is constantly growing and I am very happy to be a proud member. It's a great community where sellers share their knowlegde, promote each other and pool their resources. Each member contributes to the team and help it grow.

In the team's website Etsykids.com you can find the A to Z shopping guide, which is a place for the team's members to showcase their best handmade items for babies, toddlers and children. The guide is updated quarterly.

If you are interested in joining the team, you can read this Join page

Craftaholic collection... An amazing photoshoot!

I've posted about Wendi a few times in the past (here and here)... I call this talented girl a miracle worker and you'll see why in the following photos. This time we worked together for a product photoshoot of my new collection, the kid's clothes and accessories.

I got the photos yesterday and I can't stop looking at them! I tried so hard to find my favorite one but it seems impossible! Ok, if I really have to pick one, it has to be the photo of these two little cuties, playing with their hats. A.d.o.r.a.b.l.e!
They posed with my hats....

This little lady posed wearing my colorful skirt... Look at those legs, omg! Super cute!!!

Two beautiful girls wore my red riding hood dresses and Wendi took these amazing photographs. Some of them include a bit of magic (tricks of the trade, I won't say more, haha)

And this gorgeous girl with my rainbow dress and the matching shoulder bag are just perfect! I love the colors of these photos...

Last but not least is this happy girl with the blonde hair and her blue eyes (seriously, Wendi, could you find more beautiful models? ) wearing my floral pinafore dress...

I wish I could be there for this photoshoot... A trip to America is one of my biggest dreams, but dreams come true and I'm sure I'll make it happen one day!

Wendi, you are the best! Thank you for everything!

You can find all of these cute stuff in my Etsy shop here or in my CforCrafts shop here.

I hope you liked them!

What is your goal and how do you plan to reach it?

My Etsy shop was slowly dying... I didn't pay much attention to it, I let my listings expire and wasn't very active on the Etsy community. But one of my goals for 2014 was to change this situation. It's been months since that New Year's resolution but I finally did it. I managed to find the time and make things happen.

So, today my Etsy shop has 113 items, and this number is constantly growing. The new goal is set, reach 200 items before summer is over. I feel great right now, it's something I really wanted to do :)

There are still millions of stuff to do but right now my head is aching and I really need to relax.

Here is a sneak peek of the new items you can find in my shop, all handmade by me. I hope you'll enjoy looking at them :)

Have you recently reached one of YOUR goals? How did it make you feel?

Don't forget to wear a hat!

Hello everyone!
How are you? I feel exhausted today... I've already had a huge cup of coffee but I'm not feeling better :/ Anyway, let's hope I'll have more energy as soon as I finish writing this post, haha :)

Today I have for you a mini presentation of the new hats I made.

Some of them, like the strawberries, are unique. Only one has been made and there will not be a second one. Once it's sold, it's gone.

This one is my favorite! A colorful fabric with Red riding hood. LOVE it!

This floral hat is also the last one left. It's size medium.
Last but not least, your own favorite! And I don't blame you, I love it, too! A fabric that arrived at Craftaholic last week and is already very popular.

You can find all of these hats in my Etsy shop here, or in my CforCrafts shop here.
Have a wonderful day!

Happy birthday to us!

Three days ago, on June 8th, it was our birthday. This is a very special day for me and my family. Why? On June 8th Dimitris was born, my fioncee. A few years later, my mom gave birth to me on the same day!!! Yes, it's true. But the best part is that it's also my brother's birthday. I'm not kidding. We were born on the same day, 3 years apart. Sounds like a joke, but it's not.

On June 8th, 2012, I also started blogging. So it's Craftaholic's birthday as well. Four celebrations in one day!! We had to do something special this year so we decided to visit my grandparents who live in a village, one hour away. I hadn't planned anything special, mostly because I believe that when you plan every little detail something will eventually go wrong. So I had only prepared the cakes and a festive banner :)

My cake was a simple chocolate cake with chocolate frosting. I insisted on blowing 23 candles, haha :) Dimitris couldn't light them because it was soooo windy and he had to go inside the house to do it. His cake was a maltesers cheesecake, first try and not that successful :/ He wanted to blow only one candle, but as you can see in the photos he got jealous when he saw mine and blew them, too :P

My grandpa loved my camera and took a million photos. It was such a fun day!

For little gentlemen...

Since the day I started sewing clothes for girls, I got at least 5 e-mails every day from moms, who only had boys, asking me when I'll make something for them, too. I was starting to feel awkard because I had absolutely no idea when I could finally find the time to make something entirely new.

I had some designs in mind, but I procrastinated due to lack of time and ideas. Until I got a message from my favorite customer, Maria. She asked if I could make her a tie and a bowtie for her son, who is being baptised next month. Of course I said yes!

I spent a whole day to make them but it turns out it was worth it! First, I made the tie. The second it was ready, I uploaded it at my Facebook page and it got soooo many likes and comments. I was very satisfied and began to work on the bowtie.

I LOVED it! The colors, the style! I imagined Maria's son wearing it and I felt so happy :)

I was in a sewing frenzy that day. So I had to try something else, a project I had in mind for months. What?? A bucket hat! Yes! A double sided bucket hat. It was easier than I thought, but a bit tricky in some stages. When I started sewing, three years ago, I never thought I could make something like that by myself :)

I uploaded all these accesories at my Etsy shop and you can order them here. They can be made in any fabric or color combination you want! I really hope you like them!

You can also find them at my CforCrafts shop here.
